Privacy.

This site creates no accounts and keeps no visitor database. Messages sent through the form land in my inbox, like any ordinary email. Nothing is sold to anyone.

Who is responsible

Ligō Solutions is the consulting practice of David Lachapelle, M. Sc., CHRP. I am the person responsible for the protection of personal information under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.

How I collect information

Three technological means, and nothing else:

• The contact form on this site.
• Emails you send me directly.
• Cookies, only if you accept them. A settings panel is shown on your first visit and stays available at any time.

What information, and why

Identifying information: name, email address, subject and content of your message, when you write to me. Used only to reply to you and follow up on your request.

Technical information: truncated IP address, pages viewed, date and time, where your visit came from. Used only to know which pages are read and how visitors arrive. Collected only if you accept measurement cookies.

I do not seek to identify anyone and I build no visitor profiles.

Refusing costs you nothing: the site works identically if you refuse cookies. No feature is removed, no content is hidden. You can also write or call me directly, without using the form.

Cookies and your consent

No cookie is placed before you agree. Measurement and advertising are switched off by default, as section 8.1 of Law 25 requires. You turn them on separately, through the banner:

• Audience measurement: Google Analytics, for the technical information described above.
• Advertising: would let me show ads to people who have already visited the site. This purpose is not in use yet; the choice is offered in advance so that nothing can switch on one day without your agreement.

Your choice is recorded by CookieYes and can be changed at any time through the settings pill at the bottom of every page.

Who has access to your information

Only me. Ligō Solutions is a one-person practice: there is no team, no customer service desk, no subcontractor reading your messages.

Four providers technically process information on my behalf, without exploiting it:

• Cloudflare: hosts and protects the site; processes the IP address of every visit to deliver pages and block attacks.
• Resend: carries form messages to my inbox.
• Google: Workspace hosts my inbox; Analytics processes technical information; Fonts supplies the typefaces, which sends your IP address on every page load.
• CookieYes: displays the banner and keeps the record of your choice.

Google Calendar and LinkedIn are called on only if you click the matching links.

Disclosure outside Quebec: these four providers are established outside Quebec, mainly in the United States, and process part of the information there. To avoid this, write or call me directly.

How long I keep it

Your messages stay in my inbox for the length of our exchange. If a mandate follows, I keep them for as long as my professional and tax obligations require. Otherwise I delete them. You may request deletion at any time.

How I protect it

The site is served over HTTPS only and protected by security headers that block code injection. The form stores nothing: there is no database to compromise. My inbox is protected by Google Workspace's own measures.

Your rights

You have the right to access the information I hold about you, to have it corrected or updated, to request its deletion and to withdraw your consent.
